LIFE Act or 245(i)

Under the LIFE Act (also referred to as 245(i)), certain individuals may apply for a green card or permanent resident status while in the U.S. even if they entered illegally or worked without authorization. If someone filed an I-130 or I-140 petition for you on or before April 30, 2001 and you were physically present in the U.S. on December 21, 2000, you may be eligible for permanent resident status under the LIFE Act.
